You are perfect

You are so DEEPLY perfect.

Perfect is often a dirty word in my book, when it’s used to compare, to impose an unrealistic standard, to push toward sameness, or when it’s geared towards the external and superficial.

The word perfect should be reserved for God’s creation. For the unfolding of a flower, for sunrays glowing through a dewdrop at sunrise…

AND YOU.

At your core you are PERFECT and whole as you are now. Sure, things can be “off” or imperfect on the surface level, but what is the surface level really worth anyways. You can feel “broken” by the hardships in your life, but once again, as you travel into the core of you, of your spirit, there is nothing to “break;” there’s only light, only goodness, only godliness, only wisdom, only wholeness, only completeness, only abundance.

You are perfect, right now. And as you sit with that for a moment, you can feel it, can’t you? The utter perfectness underneath all the mess and struggle of daily life.

Whether you know it yet or not, you are like a magnificent tree with deep roots, a solid trunk, and tall reaching branches beset with leaves. You are strong, creative, and here to nourish and shade the world. Sometimes all the leaves must fall, sometimes a branch breaks, sometimes you wither in the heat, but you always come back to flourishing, to growing, to reblooming season after season.

Sometimes your tree is truly GLORIOUS, a vibrant, verdant beauty to be marvelled at, but you can’t stop focusing on the one little leaf that’s withered. Sometimes you need to step back and appreciate the bigger picture for what it is.

And that is that you are whole, that you are magnificent, and you are perfect, just as you are now.

With Love,

Allison
